Video of Lesson 14.1: Heat Exchanger Example Problem in Thermodynamics course by The Thermo Sage channel, video No. 17 free certified online
An air (ideal gas) stream is used to boil a water stream in a stead-flow insulted heat exchanger. The air enters this exchanger at 100 kPa, 327 C and leaves at 100 kPa, 127C. The water enters as a saturated liquid at 300 kPa and leaves as a saturated vapor at 300 kPa.
a) What is the heat transfer between the air and water stream per unit of air mass flow rate q(per unit mass of air).
b) What is the ratio of the water mass flow rate to the air mass flow rate?
