Soft solder connections are popular around the country.
If it is done correctly it has some benefits such as no need for a nitrogen flow as it does not get hot enough for oxidation.
It is important to know it is not allowed for refrigeration by some codes and if it is not done correctly it can be more difficult to fix later and can introduce flux/acid into the system. it may or may not hold up to vibrations.
Stay-brite 8 is the better of the soft solder and has a devoted following of people.
