I built my wife Veronica a live streaming podcast setup so she could go live every week without overthinking the tech.
She asked for something simple: plug in, press a button, and talk to people.
So I dug through our lights, painted a wall, coded for three days straight, built her a whole live room inside Podcast YourWay, added an episode scheduler, a livestream lobby, YouTube write-ups, chat, and a timer that cuts her off whether she likes it or not.
Then she went live for the very first time.
And basically no one showed up.
This is the story of building Veronica’s new live podcast, YAP Your Way, and also the bigger story of why we’re changing PSS Creative Media. For years, we made tutorials and how-to videos. They helped people, but they also let us hide behind information instead of showing up as real people building a real business, raising kids, making mistakes, and trying to create a community.
The tech matters. The camera, lights, mic, livestream setup, and workflow all matter.
But the real thing is this:
You hit publish.
Then you hit publish again.
Even when the room is empty.
